Exhibition: Natalie Angel Art
For this series, I photographed an artist whose work revolves around emotion, vulnerability and expression. The images were created on commission for magazine submissions, with the goal of presenting her work and story in a strong and fitting way.
Her paintings don’t tell fixed stories, but invite interpretation. For that reason, the focus was not only on capturing the artworks, but also on the person behind them. The interaction with her own work and the way image and environment come together play an important role in this.
The series was shot in locations such as Rensenpark in Emmen and the Tibetan museum. Two contrasting environments that create a balance between nature, calmness and symbolism, reflecting the layers within her work.
By bringing her art into the space, the result becomes more than documentation. The images show not only what she creates, but also who she is as an artist, making them suitable for editorial use.
